Sonar 8 book
The books also provide clear and concise written material that guides users from beginning to end through the features of SONAR. The Power books are written to complement the manual. But when your learning, nothing beats a good book. With a book, you can read a few pages each day and learn some things that are useful to you that you never would have thought of in the first place.Īn exhaustive online reference is always welcome, probably even necessary with a program like this.

SONAR 8 BOOK HOW TO
Somehow, I believe a printed text like Scott's that is focused on showing you how to get around the software will be more efficient.Īnother benefit of a book is the surprise aspect. I can hit F1 all day long and read 3000 pages of reference text and web links. There's also a difference between a reference manual and an explanatory text. This is expecially true when you are trying to learn something procedural (first do this.then do that.). There's only so many hours you can stare at a screen, and it's annoying to have to try to look at an online manual and the onscreen program all at the same time. I'm just looking to do the basics well, so this looks good. Sometimes a product undergoes a major change in a version update, and it looks nothing like the earlier ones, and the menu commands change, etc. That's great to know that the the basic format is the same between 8 and 8.5, except for some new features. The thought never occurred to me that the author might visit this forum from time to time!
